Tuesday Morning Roundup: Latest Social Headlines (Oct 9 2012)

The world of social media is extending beyond simple social interaction. It seems that over the eight years of Facebook’s existence it has been collecting data from its now one billion users (as if we ever doubted that) and there is talk that this information will be used to fuel some sort of social search engine. One will apparently be able to ask questions such as “What Chinese take away outlets have my friends been frequenting and liked?” or “Which of my friends or friends of theirs have worked at XYZ and what have they had to say about it?”

Sounds like a really powerful tool to have available; one which is more personal and interactive than some of the other search engine giants out there, and will definitely affect the way people find your business.
