I’m sure we have all seen and, in some cases, fallen for the sneaky, pointless viral links circulating Facebook more and more often these days. They go like this: “1. Click on Photo, 2. Comment Jump 3. See what happens.” What happens? Nothing!
This is a sneaky tactic to make cyber scammers rich. These pages collect a huge number of ‘likes’, and are then sold to businesses which ride on the falsely inflated popularity. Facebook uses likes, shares and comments as a form of currency to evaluate the amount of exposure it deserves.
